Winter Games in Cortina d’Ampezzo

The sporting world is now looking to northern Italy, where the Winter Games are beginning. We are delighted to be able to make a small contribution by providing local Italian crew for a German client in Cortina d’Ampezzo with one of our trusted partners.
Due to the high security requirements, this is a long-prepared project involving a great deal of planning, strict accreditation and a lot of coordination between us, the client and the Italian supplier.

Cortina d’Ampezzo is known worldwide as a classic ski resort and has already hosted the Games once before. The Dolomites not only provide the perfect backdrop for skiing, bobsleigh and curling, but are also the location of the German House.

The upcoming competitions will be spread across several traditional winter sports locations. Milan will serve as the centre of the Games and will primarily host ice sports in a newly built arena. In Antholz in South Tyrol, biathletes will compete for medals. Other decisions will be made at other winter sports resorts such as Bormio, Val di Fiemme, Livigno and Predazzo.
These Winter Games are organised in a decentralised manner. Instead of a single host location, several regions are sharing the competitions. This shortens distances, makes use of existing infrastructure and brings top-class sport closer to the local people.
