Kultursommer 2024 – artlogic supports the major cultural festivals
Once again, we are supporting two of Europe’s largest cultural festivals with various crews and trades for two long-standing clients throughout the summer.
Both the “Ruhrfestspiele Recklinghausen” and the “Ruhrtriennale – Festival der Künste” have once again entrusted us with supporting their seasons this year.
The “Ruhrfestspiele” is the oldest theatre festival in Europe. The aim of the Ruhr Festival has always been to bring cultures and art forms together. This year, the games will take place from 1 May to 8 June 24 and have the motto “Pleasure and Loss”. Since 2002, the annual art festival “Ruhrtriennale” has brought together theatre, dance, performance, literature, installations and concerts. The extensive programme takes place at nine industrial monuments in the Rhine-Ruhr region.
The festival period of the Ruhrtriennale has now been announced for this summer: “It begins on Friday, 16 August and ends on 15 September. For four and a half weeks, the former industrial monuments in the Ruhr region will host interdisciplinary productions of theatre, music theatre, concerts, dance, performance, installation, literature and dialogue,” according to the announcement.
With their large number of events and diverse venues, both festivals present a logistical challenge for us and the crew. Nevertheless, we are delighted to be able to send our stagehands, technical assistants, forklift drivers and technicians on such diverse assignments as these festivals offer.
