artlogic turns on its red light in support of the Night of Light 2020!

The Night of Light 2020 event was organized to raise awareness for the many professionals in the event industry that are facing economic disaster due to the restriction of public events and gatherings. The country’s landmark buildings, as well as event venues, offices and homes were illuminated red on Monday, June 22. As the events sector has pointed out, the distancing and hygienic restrictions make the production of large-scale events impossible and as a result the many companies and organizations involved in the industry are in danger of disappearing.
 
A study by the Research Institute for Exhibition and Live-Communication states that the German events sector generates annual revenues of €130 billion and employs one million people. Including all ancillary businesses, those figures go up to more than €200 billion and three million employees – all of whom are in need of support in this unprecedented time.

Of course, this is a topic that affects us deeply at artlogic as we depend on a thriving events calendar to keep our crew working and we want to extend our support and solidarity with the Night of Light campaign and support our colleagues in the community however we can.

The event has proven again the fantastic spirit and strength of the event community, even through the social distancing rules our crew showed up to be together and support the cause.
