Our crew in Berlin and Düsseldorf showed their support for the @Night of Light campaign by illuminating our offices and gathering at venues across the country.
In accordance with the Covid-19 social distancing rules all crew members in attendance at our offices wore protective face shields and only gathered in outdoor areas. Hand sanitizing gel was also provided at all locations.
A study by the Research Institute for Exhibition and Live-Communication states that the German events sector generates annual revenues of €130 billion and employs one million people. Including all ancillary businesses, those figures go up to more than €200 billion and three million employees – all of whom are in need of support in this unprecedented time.
The following graphics (German) show a study commissioned by the VPLT, which shows the important economic role of the event industry in Germany and the jobs that are threatened with loss.
Of course, this is a topic that affects us deeply at artlogic as we depend on a thriving events calendar to keep our crew working and we want to extend our support and solidarity with the Night of Light campaign and support our colleagues in the community however we can.
The event has proven again the fantastic spirit and strength of the event community, even through the social distancing rules our crew showed up to be together and support the cause.
