you will assist with the set-up and dismantling of technical equipment or stages
you will help with the loading or unloading of materials
you will take over warehouse activities

The work of a stagehand is mainly physical. Because the logistics behind organising & booking crew require a lot of coordination, we have developed our own digital tool that guides and supports you on each job from start to finish.

What is required

You don’t need to have any previous experience, we will train you in everything you need to know. However, we are not looking for just anyone, but rather reliable crew.

EqualPay +

We are committed to the EqualPay principle. This means that at artlogic, you earn at least as much as your colleagues at the company where you work.
This includes, for example, a pro-rata Christmas or holiday bonus, which is paid out to you IMMEDIATELY.

Generally speaking, you will even receive considerably more, as our system of expense allowances, bonuses and supplements places us above the industry collective agreements. We call this ‘EqualPay +’.

Basically, your salary ranges starting from €14,50/hour.

And with our performance bonuses, you also have the power to increase your salary.

Our 3 contractual models

Permanent employment

Part-time, full-time, student job. We guarantee a number of working hours per month.

You can choose between 55, 80 or 120 guaranteed hours per month.

You can always work more – there is enough to do!

Seasonal contract

As a seasonal worker, you can work up to 70 days per year.

There are no minimum or maximum hours per month. The compensation is tax-free.

Depending on individual circumstances, this may vary: For example, as a student, studies must always take precedence, so there is a restriction to a maximum of 80 hours per month. However, this limit does not apply during semester breaks!

Minijob

You work at least 10 hours per month.

You may earn a maximum of 538 € / month. No income tax will be deducted.

A shift usually lasts 8 hours, i.e. there are usually two to three assignments per month.

FAQ

What do I earn?

We have a salary system with a basic salary and various bonuses. These bonuses can also be paid tax-free, e.g., for a kilometre allowance.

But more importantly, we apply the principle of equal pay. What does that mean? In any case, you get paid as much as the organizer’s permanent staff. This includes holiday and Christmas bonuses and other special payments, which are added directly to your hourly rate! If the client pays their staff less, our pay model still applies – i.e., always better paid, but never less.

And also, you can help to raise your compensation by being reliable and taking on more responsibility.

What does a stagehand assignment look like?

Shortly before the start of a shift, you are required to confirm that you are ready to go. Then you meet the rest of the crew at the agreed meeting point – it could be right at the location or beforehand if you’re driving there together. On-site, there will be a brief briefing, and then you get started.

The estimated duration of your shift will be communicated to you via the accepted request in the app. Please always make sure to have enough food and drinks with you, as not all clients provide catering.

Information on whether a tax-free allowance for catering expenses is granted from the 8th hour of work and the amount will also be found in your job details for each assignment. These may vary depending on client preferences, as they are voluntary and depend on the client.

At concerts, dismantling often takes place at night, while at trade fairs or other events, it’s more likely to be the next day.

Do I have to accept all job requests?

No, you are not obligated to accept all the jobs requested through the app. However, it’s important that you block out the days when you’re unavailable in your app in advance to avoid rejections.

Please note that providing us with a wide time window maximizes our ability to match jobs with you optimally. Our shared goal is to fulfill your contractually agreed minimum number of hours.

Whether it’s confirmed jobs or spare jobs, we count on you!

What if i get ill?

This can happen at any time. However, since the client still requires assistance with the production, it’s important that you inform the scheduling team or your crew leader immediately by phone so that we can activate the spare.

For this purpose, we have set up a 24-hour emergency hotline, which can be reached through our regular phone number. Please navigate through the voice menu, get connected, and then take care of yourself so that you can recover quickly.
